Steven Bollar

Senior Vice President of Elementary Programs

Steven A. Bollar is the Senior Vice President of Elementary Programs at CSMI. In his role as Senior Vice President, he oversees the development and success of the schools that CSMI manages in New Jersey. He does this by assuming the role of “superintendent” for the New Jersey charter schools under CSMI management.

Mr. Bollar joined CSMI in 2015. Prior to joining CSMI, Mr. Bollar has maintained a successful career in education with over 20 years administrative experience. He started his career as an elementary visual arts teacher and moved directly into school administration. Mr. Bollar has strong administrative background as a Curriculum Supervisor, Vice Principal, Principal, Assistant Superintendent, and Acting Superintendent within the public schools of New Jersey. 

Mr. Bollar has been recognized for his accomplishments within education. He was awarded the Jostens Renaissance Hall of Fame, South Jersey Magazine Top 20 Men of the Year, Suburban Family Citizen of the Year, Burlington County Principals and Supervisors Association Visionary Leadership Award, and former Board of Directors Member for New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association. He is actively involved with the success of education throughout the state of New Jersey.

In addition, Mr. Bollar is a recognized professional speaker/trainer. He has spoken to both corporate and educational organizations throughout the US and Canada. His message is motivational and focuses on developing a culture and climate that maximizes the learning process and gets the most out of everyone within the team. Through his speaking and training, Mr. Bollar has influenced thousands of educators.

Mr. Bollar is dedicated to the continual growth and improvement of education. His favorite saying is, “A vision excites my future, but frustrates my present!” He believes that developing a strong vision that is shared by everyone can foster the appropriate environment for amazing things to happen. You may be frustrated now, but use that frustration as motivation to reach your goal and make amazing things happen.

Mr. Bollar received his Bachelor of Science for Art Education from Kutztown University and his Master of Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey.
