Vahan and Danielle Gureghian Contribute $10,000 Toward Reward for Capture of Killer of 7-Year Old Chester Community Charter School Student

Vahan and Danielle Gureghian, the leaders of CSMI, LLC, which provides management services to Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), today announced they were adding $10,000 to the reward that has been offered for the identification of the killer of 7-year old Sinsir Parker.  Parker, a student at CCCS, was killed in a drive-by shooting on April 5, 2020.  The Gureghians’ contribution brings the reward to at least $65,000.

“There is no way to make sense of the killing of a 7-year old,” said Vahan and Danielle Gureghian today.  “But as a community, we need to do everything we can to capture Sinsir’s killer and stand united to make it clear that anyone who commits violence or harms a child will be caught and punished to the full extent of the law.”

Unfortunately, this is not the first time the CCCS family has been impacted by gun violence.  In August 2016, eight-year old Gabrielle Hill-Carter, who went to CCCS, was shot and killed while playing outside just days before the school year started. The Gureghians’ contributed to the reward for the identification and capture of the killer. In 2019, Gabrielle’s killed was sentenced to 51 years in jail after a tipster identified him.

Chester Community Charter School (CCCS) was founded in 1998 as an alternative public school choice for parents in and around the Chester-Upland School District. What began with 100 students in the conference rooms of a local hotel has grown into a community-centered school proudly serving more than 4,500 students in grades K-8. The school operates nine classroom buildings on four campuses. CCCS is dedicated to empowering students as learners through the development of a results-driven academic environment.
